LMU School of Business Faculty Present at MOBTS

Dr. Joshua Ray, assistant dean of the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business and DBA program director, along with, Dr. Kelsey Metz, dean of the LMU School of Business, and Dr. Rick Lane, MBA and MSBA program director, presented at the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (MOBTS) conference, hosted by Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. Dr. Cheryl Hild was an additional author of the presentation.

The presentation, "Embedding Research in Graduate Courses for Working Adults: Activity Design with AI Support," focused on integrating research into graduate coursework for working professionals.

The presentation highlighted the application of artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of research, providing examples from three graduate programs. They showcased flexible assignment designs providing students with the opportunity to engage in research and how artificial intelligence augments the work improving processes and outcomes.

"We are thrilled to have presented at the MOBTS conference,” said Metz. Our goal is to prepare our students for the modern workplace.”

MOBTS, founded in 1974 and formerly known as the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (OBTS), promotes excellence in management and organizational behavior education. Membership is open to professors, instructors, and graduate students involved in teaching these subjects, fostering collaboration and advancing teaching and research in the field.
